Table Manners

An ongoing series inspired by ancient Greek erotic ceramics, these plates bring words and subjects often considered taboo into the everyday setting of the table.

Words used to shame, diminish or silence are painted and fired directly into the surface of the clay, reclaiming them through a slow and intentional act of making and sharing. What is often kept private, hidden or unspeakable is brought out into the open and placed at the table.
